The National Committee hopes to provide an avenue by which enthusiastic alumni can remain involved in the UWC movement, years after graduating from a UWC. Even if you do not live in a geographical location close to many other UWCers, you can still be kept in the loop through email and the website.
Network groups do the following:
- Organise social events for UWC graduates in the area
- Provide advice and support for first year University students coming fresh out of the UWCs
- Publicise the UWCs and scholarship opportunities in local areas by organising school visits and distributing publicity material, hence helping increase the number and representation of UWC applicants
- Act as a resource base for the National Committee and other graduates wanting information and contacts
- Get involved in fundraising events organised both by themselves and the National Committee
